Seville — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, met with the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, H.E. Amina Mohamed, on the sidelines of the International Development Financing Conference in Seville.

During the bilateral meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to deepen cooperation between Somalia and the United Nations. The talks centered on advancing economic development, mobilizing international support for key projects, and accelerating initiatives that promote peace, stability, and progress in Somalia.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to achieve sustainable development and lasting peace in the country.
Recently, Somalia has been visibly represented at international conferences, reflecting the revival of the country’s sovereignty and its recovery from the state collapse that occurred in 1991.
