NAIROBI – Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy has begun preparations for the African Commerce and Industry Summit (ACIS) 2026, with a focus on strengthening digital transformation, trade, innovation, and enterprise development across Africa.
The Ministry held a strategic engagement with the leadership of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), led by its President Dr. Erick Rutto, to explore areas of partnership and collaboration ahead of the continental business summit.
The Ministry welcomed the opportunity to partner in and participate in ACIS 2026, which is scheduled to take place from 14–16 October 2026 in Nairobi. The summit will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is expected to bring together representatives from more than 50 countries.
The event will serve as a major platform for business exhibitions, investment forums, business-to-business networking, innovation showcases, and policy discussions aimed at promoting economic growth and stronger commercial ties across Africa.
The Ministry said it remains committed to advancing Kenya’s digital agenda through the development of the Digital Superhighway, expanding internet connectivity, promoting artificial intelligence, strengthening digital skills, and supporting innovators and startups through public-private partnerships.
Officials said the summit will provide an opportunity for African businesses, governments, and technology leaders to exchange ideas, attract investment, and develop solutions that support inclusive economic growth and digital transformation across the continent.
