MOGADISHU, SOMALIA — The Federal Government of Somalia is preparing to dispatch a high-level delegation to Beledweyne, the capital of Hiiraan region, in an effort to calm the situation amid growing political tensions, sources within Villa Somalia have confirmed to Hiiraan News Agency.
According to the sources, the planned delegation is part of the government’s efforts to address the developing situation in Hiiraan, with particular emphasis on containing the widespread political impact of recent remarks by Ugaas Yusuf Ugaas Hassan Ugaas Khalif Ugaas Roble.
The sources indicated that Villa Somalia has placed considerable priority on engaging with different stakeholders and pursuing dialogue to prevent further escalation.
