Jubba: President Salva Kiir Mayardit has departed Juba for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an official diplomatic mission aimed at attracting investment and enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to his press secretary, Ambassador David Amuor Majur, President Kiir will meet with Emirati business leaders and senior government officials to promote investment opportunities in South Sudan’s key economic sectors. The visit underscores Juba’s commitment to economic reforms and efforts to create a more conducive environment for foreign direct investment.
The South Sudanese leader is also expected to hold high-level discussions on issues of regional peace, trade, and infrastructure development. These talks are part of broader initiatives to strengthen international partnerships and support the country’s post-conflict reconstruction and development agenda.
The visit reflects South Sudan’s ongoing strategy to position itself as an emerging destination for investors in East Africa and the wider region.
