MOGADISHU The Office of the Somali National Prosecutor has once again intercepted a significant drug shipment at Aden Adde International Airport. Authorities reported the seizure of 48 packages of illegal narcotics, which were being smuggled into the country.

According to a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office, the drugs were intended for illicit distribution within Somalia. An extensive investigation is underway to identify the individuals and networks responsible for trafficking the dangerous substances.
The statement emphasized that this operation is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to combat organized crime and enhance national security.
The National Prosecutor’s Office vowed that all individuals found involved in these illegal activities will face the full force of the law. Authorities also confirmed that monitoring and inspection at the country’s entry points have been intensified to prevent further attempts at smuggling.

However, This is not the first time that illegal activities have been intercepted at Mogadishu’s airport.
