DOHA, (HAN) — Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has denounced Israel’s recent airstrike in Doha as an act of “state terrorism” and a deliberate attempt to destabilize regional security.

The strike, which targeted Hamas leaders involved in U.S.-brokered ceasefire talks, killed six people, including five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer. Sheikh Mohammed stressed that Qatar would not tolerate violations of its sovereignty and warned that the country reserves the right to respond firmly to such aggression.
The attack has triggered global criticism. The United States, United Kingdom, Russia, and China expressed concern over Israel’s actions, while the United Nations Security Council is expected to hold an urgent briefing on the crisis.
In response, Qatar has called for a collective regional stance and urged an emergency Arab-Islamic summit to address the situation. Regional leaders, including UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed solidarity with Qatar, underscoring the importance of safeguarding Gulf security and stability.
The incident marks a sharp escalation in the conflict and raises fresh doubts over the future of fragile peace negotiations in the region.
