MOGADISHU, (HAN) – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has inaugurated the new headquarters of the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Command of the Somali National Army (SNA), a modern facility aimed at strengthening national defense and security operations.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Mohamud said the center symbolizes the government’s commitment to building strong defense institutions. He noted that the advanced technology installed in the facility will enhance military operations and national strategic planning.
The President commended the Ministry of Defense and the SNA leadership for their continued efforts, stressing that each achievement reflects the resilience of the Somali people and the bravery of their armed forces.
Following the inauguration, President Mohamud toured the Ministry of Defense, where he received a detailed briefing on recent battlefield successes by Somali forces and allied community fighters, particularly in Galguduud and Lower Shabelle regions, where militants have suffered heavy setbacks.
