MOGADISHU, (HAN) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, held a meeting on Sunday with the Arab League Ambassador to Somalia, Abdalla Oteibi, at his office in Mogadishu. The discussions focused on deepening cooperation between Somalia and member states of the Arab League in the areas of politics, the economy, and security.
Prime Minister Barre expressed his gratitude to the Arab League for its consistent support, highlighting the organization’s vital role in strengthening ties between the Somali government and the Somali people. He emphasized that Somalia values its partnership with Arab nations as it works toward peace, stability, and development.
Ambassador Oteibi, for his part, reiterated the Arab League’s firm commitment to backing Somalia’s progress and enhancing its role in regional cooperation. He announced that a delegation from the Arab League will soon arrive in Mogadishu to launch a series of development initiatives aimed at promoting growth, stability, and stronger integration with member states.
