MOGADISHU, (HAN) — The Banadir Regional Education Authority has reached an agreement with Siidii School in Mogadishu’s Wadajir District to resolve a dispute involving veteran teacher Isse Omar Abdi Hussein, who had challenged the procedure surrounding his suspension.

After lengthy discussions chaired by Banadir’s Director General of Education, Abdirahman Ali Mohamed, both parties agreed to a settlement. As part of the resolution, a recognition ceremony will be held to honor Mr. Isse’s more than 40 years of service in nurturing generations of Somali students.

Education officials praised the teacher as a “pillar of quality education,” describing him as a mentor with vast experience and strong ethics. Authorities also pledged to strengthen Mogadishu’s education sector by drawing on the knowledge and experience of long-serving educators.
