MOGADISHU, (HAN)– Hamse PM Appointed New Auditors of General and Defense Ministry Director General

MOGADISHU, (HAN) — The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia has approved the Ministry of Finance’s proposal to appoint Mr. Mohamed Mahmud Abdulle as the new Auditor General of the government. Mr. Abdulle brings extensive experience in financial management and public accounting systems. The position was previously held by Abdirahman Mohamed.

In a related appointment, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre named Mr. Abdulqadir Abukar Mohamed as the Director General of Defense at the Ministry of National Defense.

The cabinet meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, also endorsed the National Strategy for Preventing Artificial Explosions and approved a political consultation agreement between the governments of Somalia and Tajakistan.

During the session, the Council of Ministers reviewed reports on the national ID registration process and consultations aimed at finalizing the constitution, involving various segments of Somali society.
