MOGADISHU, (HAN) — Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has appointed new General Directors for two strategic ministries, signaling a push to strengthen government operations and accelerate national development.
In a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, Farah Abdinur Ahmed was named General Director of the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing, while Mahdi Sheikh Abdullahi Omar was appointed General Director of the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
The appointments are part of ongoing government efforts to improve transparency, streamline operations, and enhance the effectiveness of Somalia’s public institutions.
