KHARTOUM — Sudan has strongly condemned Israel’s recognition of Somaliland, calling the move a violation of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.

In an official statement, Sudan’s government said Israel’s action represents a dangerous precedent that undermines established international norms and risks fueling instability in the Horn of Africa.

Sudan reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Somali people and reiterated its unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia within its internationally recognized borders.

“The unity of Somalia is non-negotiable,” the statement said, adding that Sudan stands with Somalia in defending its independence and national cohesion against external interference.
