Bosaso, Somalia: The Governor of Bosaso, Abdifitah Mohamed Osman, has issued a firm directive requiring local businesses to provide financial support to Puntland’s security forces in their ongoing fight against ISIS.

Speaking at a press conference, Governor Abdifitah warned that companies and traders who fail to contribute will face severe consequences, including potential shutdowns or expulsion from the city.

“Businesses that do not participate in supporting our defense forces will no longer operate in Bosaso.

Those who ignore this order will be legally dealt with,” he declared.

This move comes as Puntland regional state enters the fourth phase of its intensified military campaign against ISIS militants. In recent weeks, Puntland forces have reclaimed several key positions from the group in the rugged Bari region.

Authorities emphasize that sustained financial support from the business community is essential to maintain progress in the ongoing counterterrorism operations targeting entrenched extremist elements in the area.
