Baidoa — In a major boost for the education sector, the President of South West State of Somalia, H.E. Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, has laid the foundation stone for a new Teacher Training Center in Baidoa, the interim capital of the regional administration.

The landmark event was attended by senior officials, including the South West State Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Learning, Hon. Zahra Osman Ahmed, the Mayor of Baidoa, Abdullahi Ali Watin, and other dignitaries.
The state-of-the-art center will feature multiple sections dedicated to enhancing the skills and professionalism of teachers across South West State.
Once completed, the facility is expected to play a key role in strengthening the quality of education in the region and empowering educators to better serve their communities.
