TEHRAN – Iranian authorities announced on Saturday that they had arrested eight people accused of collaborating with Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, during the recent 12-day conflict involving Iran, Israel, and U.S. forces.

In a statement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the suspects attempted to pass sensitive intelligence to Mossad, including details about strategic military sites and senior Iranian commanders. According to the IRGC, the group had received “specialized online training” from Mossad before launching their alleged espionage mission.

The arrests come at a time of heightened regional tensions, with Tehran accusing Israel of seeking to destabilize Iran politically and economically. Officials said the case reflects Israel’s wider campaign to weaken Iran, which is already struggling with a deep economic crisis and mounting diplomatic pressure over its nuclear ambitions.

Iran has repeatedly blamed Israel for covert actions on its soil, including sabotage at nuclear facilities and assassinations of top scientists. Analysts say the latest arrests underscore the intensifying shadow war between the two bitter rivals.
