Tehran– Iran has expressed its readiness to resume stalled nuclear negotiations but insists that any renewed talks will only take place once what it describes as “Israeli aggression” against its territory ceases.

A senior Iranian official stated on Monday that recent attacks—blamed on Israel by Tehran—have destabilized the region and eroded confidence in diplomatic processes.

“We remain committed to peaceful dialogue and diplomatic solutions,” the official said. “However, Iran cannot engage in serious negotiations while its sovereignty continues to be violated.”

The statement comes amid escalating tensions across the Middle East, where cross-border strikes and covert operations have surged in recent months. Iran accuses Israel of carrying out attacks on its military and nuclear infrastructure, while Israel has raised concerns over Iran’s advancing nuclear program.

International mediators have urged restraint and called on both nations to return to the negotiating table to prevent further escalation.

The nuclear talks—originally aimed at reviving the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)—have been on hold amid a backdrop of mutual distrust and shifting geopolitical alliances.
