DHUSAMAREB, (HAN) — A tragic incident occurred late Wednesday night in the Xiindheere area of the Galgaduud region, where armed men stormed a family home and shot dead a mother and her three daughters as they slept, local sources said.

Witnesses reported that the attackers fired at close range, targeting the victims’ heads in what appeared to be a deliberate killing.

Residents said the attack was linked to long-standing clan revenge and believe the killings were premeditated. The bodies of the four women had not yet been buried as of Thursday morning, according to locals.

No men were in the house at the time of the attack, allowing the assailants to carry out the killings without resistance, residents said.

The gunmen fled the scene immediately after the attack. Their whereabouts remain unknown, and no arrests have been reported. Local authorities have not yet issued a statement.

Residents of Xiindheere expressed fear and grief over the killings, urging authorities to deliver justice swiftly and ensure the victims are buried with dignity.

The attack comes amid ongoing clan-related tensions in parts of Galgaduud, where recurring violence continues to undermine efforts to restore lasting peace and stability.
