BUURHAKABA – President of South West State, H.E. Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), officially inaugurated the newly constructed Buurhakaba District Airport today in a ceremony attended by government officials, traditional elders, religious leaders, and local community representatives.

The airport, developed through a collaboration between the South West State administration and the local community, represents a significant milestone in the region’s ongoing development efforts. It is part of a broader initiative to improve public services and strengthen connectivity across the Bay region.

“This airport is a testament to the strength and potential of our people,” President Laftagareen said during the ceremony. “When we unite and take initiative, there is no limit to what we can achieve through patriotism and determination.”

Officials noted that the airport is expected to enhance transportation, stimulate economic growth, and improve humanitarian access in Buurhakaba and surrounding areas.
