DOHA – Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has strongly condemned an Israeli strike on Doha, describing the attack as a “serious violation” of his country’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation in the region.

Speaking at a press briefing in Doha, the Qatari leader stressed that his nation reserves the right to defend itself against any aggression.
“The Israeli attack on Doha is a grave violation, and we insist on our right to respond,” Al Thani declared, underscoring Qatar’s determination to safeguard its sovereignty and the interests of its people.
Qatar has long positioned itself as a key mediator in Middle Eastern conflicts, particularly in negotiations related to Palestine and the Gaza crisis. Analysts warn that the Israeli strike could jeopardize Doha’s crucial role as a diplomatic hub for peace talks and dialogue.
The Prime Minister urged the international community, including the United Nations and major global powers, to take immediate action to hold Israel accountable and to prevent further escalation in the region.
He also announced that Qatar would consult closely with its international partners to assess the next steps and possible measures in response to the strike.
The attack on Doha marks a rare and alarming development in the ongoing tensions between Israel and the wider region, raising concerns of wider instability.
