During an inspection tour of various airport sections, Prime Minister Hamza met with officials from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation as well as airport management. He urged them to take immediate steps to improve essential services for passengers.

“We want Mogadishu airport to provide efficient and quality services to the public,” Hamza said, stressing the need for a clear plan to fix issues related to airport operations, including malfunctioning equipment.

The prime minister also warned that he would return within two weeks to review progress and vowed to take strict measures if improvements were not made.

The order comes amid mounting frustration among Somali citizens and international travelers over delays and substandard facilities at the country’s main international hub.

Hamza underscored the importance of ensuring Aden Adde International Airport reflects Somalia’s development efforts and meets international service standards.
