MOGADISHU, (HAN) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, held a meeting in Mogadishu with Mr. Apollo Gabzira, Regional Director for East and Central Africa at Care International, to discuss the acceleration of projects implemented by the organization in Somalia and their alignment with the National Transformation Plan (NTP), which outlines the government’s priority programs.
Prime Minister Barre expressed his gratitude to Care International for its continued support in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, reconstruction, stabilization, and humanitarian assistance. He commended the organization’s long-standing partnership and its role in improving the lives of Somali communities.
For his part, Mr. Gabzira reaffirmed Care International’s commitment to further strengthening its projects in Somalia. He emphasized that the organization would continue prioritizing initiatives that directly respond to the needs of Somali citizens while ensuring close alignment with the government’s development agenda.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of the Federal Government of Somalia and Care International to work together in advancing sustainable development, addressing humanitarian needs, and supporting national priorities.
