ADDIS ABABA, (HAN)— Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held what officials described as fruitful talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed during a meeting Tuesday in the Ethiopian capital.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Somalia and Ethiopia, enhancing regional security, and promoting broader development cooperation across the Horn of Africa.

According to Somali officials, both leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration to address common security challenges, particularly the fight against terrorism and cross-border threats. They also explored opportunities for joint infrastructure projects and trade initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth in the region.
