MOGADISHU– Somalia’s President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has expressed full solidarity with the people and government of Qatar following Israeli airstrikes targeting residences of Hamas leaders in Doha.

President Mohamud spoke by phone with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which he strongly condemned the attacks, calling them a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles.
“These attacks represent a clear breach of all international agreements and norms, and they risk destabilizing regional security,” the Somali President said.
He stressed that Somalia stands firmly with Qatar and its citizens during this challenging period, highlighting the longstanding ties and brotherhood between the two nations.
The phone conversation also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between Somalia and Qatar to promote peace and stability in the region.
