MOGADISHU – The Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Learning of the Federal Government of Somalia has officially announced the results of the 2024-2025 national secondary school examinations.

According to the Ministry, a total of 38,471 students sat for the exams this year, of whom 32,714 passed while 5,757 failed.

The top position nationwide was secured by Asha Adan Ugas Hirsi, a graduate of SOS School in Banadir region, who achieved an outstanding average score of 91.99%, making her the highest-ranking student in the country this academic year.

Education officials congratulated the successful candidates for their hard work and achievement, while also encouraging those who did not pass to prepare for alternative learning opportunities.

The results once again highlight the growing competitiveness among Somali secondary schools, with thousands of students aspiring to secure top ranks and pursue further education opportunities.
