MOGADISHU — The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned recent Israeli airstrikes in Doha, Qatar, which targeted residential areas and are viewed as a clear violation of international law.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Somalia described the attacks as posing a serious threat to regional security and stability, and in direct contravention of established international principles and agreements.
The statement called on the United Nations Security Council to take immediate action to halt these “aggressive acts” and to ensure the protection of innocent civilians.
“The Federal Government of Somalia reiterates its full support for the government and people of Qatar and rejects all forms of aggression and violations,” the statement read.
Somalia emphasized that such attacks not only endanger civilian lives but also undermine peace and diplomatic efforts in the Gulf region. The Somali government’s condemnation underscores its solidarity with Qatar during this tense period and reflects its commitment to upholding international law and the protection of civilians.
