Sevilla –The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, along with a delegation he led, participated in the 4th International Conference on Development Finance, held this year in Seville, Spain.
This important summit, convened once every ten years, focuses on reviewing and improving the global development financing framework.
The aim is to establish a fair and inclusive system that ensures vulnerable countries have access to affordable, sustainable, and predictable funding.
In his address to the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored the significance of the summit and the urgent need for genuine reforms to make the global financial system work more effectively for vulnerable nations.
He highlighted Somalia’s progress in reform efforts and its ongoing commitment to building a stable and inclusive economy.
H.E. Jama concluded by calling for stronger support for vulnerable countries to secure appropriate and impactful financing that reflects their unique circumstances, while also advocating for enhanced representation of these nations in global financial decision-making processes.
