Mogadishu — A ceremony marking the conclusion of a training program and the official launch of the new PISCES system was held in Mogadishu. The event was attended by senior officials including the Federal Minister of Internal Security, Hon. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag); the Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (HSJ), Mr. Mustafe Sheikh Ali Dhuhulow; representatives of the U.S. Government led by Mr. Bob; as well as officers from national and international security agencies, including Interpol.

Minister Fartaag emphasized that the PISCES system will significantly enhance the government’s capacity to monitor population movements, curb human trafficking and related crimes, and strengthen national security. He encouraged the newly trained officers to apply their skills effectively and professionally.
For his part, HSJ Director General Dhuhulow noted that the system represents a major step forward in modernizing immigration management and leveraging advanced technology to provide fast and secure services.
U.S. representative Mr. Bob highlighted that America’s support for PISCES reflects the deep partnership between the two countries and expressed confidence in Somalia’s efforts to improve national security.
