Baidoa – A high-level delegation led by Somalia’s Federal Minister of Security, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag, arrived today in Baidoa, the capital of Bay region.

The minister and his delegation were warmly received at Baidoa Airport by South West State’s Minister of Internal Security, Hassan Abdiqadir Mohamed, along with senior security officials and the Mayor of Baidoa.

Among those accompanying Minister Fartaag were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Isaaq Mahmoud Mursal, and Deputy Minister of Planning, Mohamed Aden Mohamed.

The visit is part of a scheduled participation in the official inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed headquarters of the South West State Ministry of Security — a key milestone aimed at strengthening regional security infrastructure and governance.

The new headquarters is expected to enhance coordination between federal and regional security agencies as Somalia continues efforts to improve stability and counter ongoing security threats.
