Ankara – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Friday at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, reaffirming the two nations’ commitment to deepening their long-standing strategic partnership.

During the closed-door meeting, the leaders discussed a range of issues, with a strong focus on counterterrorism efforts and regional cooperation.

President Erdoğa reiterated Türkiye’s steadfast support for Somalia’s fight against terrorism and emphasized the critical role of national unity in tackling ongoing security challenges.

Both presidents expressed a shared vision for closer collaboration, announcing plans to enhance bilateral ties through expanded cooperation in key sectors.

The visit marked another milestone in the growing relationship between Türkiye and Somalia, highlighting mutual trust and a common commitment to regional stability and prosperity.
