ADADO — President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has arrived in Adado, the administrative capital of Galmudug State, following an overland journey that began in the Hananbuure area.
The President traveled by road accompanied by members of his delegation and senior government officials, with the journey taking him through several communities before reaching Adado.
His arrival marks another stage of his ongoing visit to Galmudug, where he is expected to meet with regional authorities, traditional elders, community representatives and other local stakeholders.
During his stay, discussions are expected to focus on security, political developments, reconciliation, development and cooperation between the Federal Government and the Galmudug administration.
President Hassan Sheikh’s road journey has attracted considerable public attention, with residents in areas along the route gathering to welcome the President and his delegation.
The visit comes at a time when the Federal Government is increasing its engagement with federal member states and local communities as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and address political and security challenges.
The President is also expected to hear directly from local leaders and communities about their priorities and concerns, while highlighting the government’s plans for development and stability.
His arrival in Adado is expected to be followed by a series of meetings and public engagements during his stay in the city.
