MOGADISHU — President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has extended his heartfelt condolences to Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan following the death of her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan.
President Hassan Sheikh expressed his deep sorrow over the loss and conveyed his sympathies to President Samia, her family, and the people of Tanzania during this difficult period of mourning.
The Somali president said that Somalia stands firmly with the family of President Samia and the people of Tanzania at this challenging time. He emphasized the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the Somali and Tanzanian peoples, offering Somalia’s support and condolences as Tanzania mourns the loss.
The death of Hafidh Ameir Hassan represents a deeply personal loss for President Samia and her family. His passing has also prompted messages of sympathy and solidarity from across Africa, as leaders and citizens join Tanzania in mourning.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud wished President Samia and her family strength, patience, and comfort as they go through the difficult days ahead.
“Somalia stands with the family and people of Tanzania during this difficult time of loss,” the President said.
He also prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and for God to grant President Samia, her children, and the entire family strength and comfort during their period of grief.
