FIFA has confirmed the list of 81 match officials who will oversee the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025, set to take place in Qatar from November 3 to 27.

Among them are three assistant referees from the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) region: Eritrea’s Mengis Sirak Samuel, Tanzania’s Ally Hamdani Said, and Djibouti’s Robleh Dirir Eleyeh. They are part of the 54 assistant referees selected, alongside 27 referees from across the globe.
Uganda will represent CECAFA on the pitch, with the Uganda Hippos earning a place in the tournament after defeating Gambia in a decisive play-off at the 2025 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The expanded World Cup will feature a record 48 teams.
