Dagalo Vows Daily RSF Reinforcements to Sudan’s Front Lines

SUDAN — Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, leader of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and head of the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS)-aligned administration, has vowed to send additional military columns to Sudan’s front lines as fighting against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and allied militias intensifies.

Speaking at a gathering of RSF fighters on Friday, October 9, Dagalo pledged continued military reinforcements and predicted what he described as decisive victories against the Sudanese army and its allied forces.

Dagalo accused the army of being controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, a claim frequently made by the RSF leadership and disputed by its opponents.

He also emphasized the growing role of drone warfare in the conflict, saying that the nature of fighting in Sudan had changed significantly. Drones have increasingly been used by both sides for surveillance and attacks.

The announcement comes amid escalating clashes in several parts of Sudan, particularly in the Kordofan and Blue Nile regions, where both sides are seeking to strengthen their military positions.

Dagalo did not disclose specific deployment routes, troop numbers or the precise locations where the additional forces would be sent.

Sudan’s conflict, which erupted in April 2023, has killed thousands of people, displaced millions and triggered a severe humanitarian crisis. Continued fighting and the use of drones have raised further concerns about civilian safety and the prospects for a negotiated settlement.
