CAIRO – Egypt has intensified diplomatic coordination with Jordan and Saudi Arabia as regional tensions rise, with Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty holding separate calls with his counterparts to discuss security developments and ways to prevent further escalation.
According to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty and his Jordanian and Saudi counterparts condemned what they described as repeated Iranian attacks against Arab countries and stressed the need to protect regional stability and national sovereignty.
The discussions focused on strengthening Arab coordination, supporting diplomatic efforts, and avoiding a wider confrontation that could threaten security across the Middle East.
Egypt emphasized that resolving regional crises requires dialogue, respect for international law, and efforts to prevent military escalation. Cairo has repeatedly warned that continued tensions could have serious consequences for regional peace and economic stability.
Jordan and Saudi Arabia have also called for restraint and stressed the importance of safeguarding their territories and interests amid growing security challenges.
The latest consultations reflect increased cooperation among Egypt and its Arab partners as they seek a coordinated response to evolving threats and rising geopolitical tensions in the region.
The three countries agreed to maintain close communication and continue diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing risks and promoting stability in the Middle East.
