CAIRO — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has reaffirmed what he described as the “unity of destiny” between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, stressing that the security of the Kingdom and other Arab states is closely linked to Egypt’s national security.
El-Sisi made the remarks during a telephone conversation on Thursday, September 3, with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. According to the Egyptian presidency, the call focused on bilateral relations as well as a number of regional and international developments.
During the conversation, El-Sisi emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and joint action between Cairo and Riyadh to address the growing challenges facing the Middle East.
He specifically underscored the strategic relationship between the two countries, saying that Egypt and Saudi Arabia share a common destiny and that the security of Saudi Arabia, as well as that of other Arab countries, constitutes an extension of Egypt’s national security.

The conversation also included congratulations related to Saudi Arabia’s upcoming National Day, with El-Sisi expressing his wishes for continued stability and prosperity for the Kingdom under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
