The Fifth Round of Pakistan-China Consultations on Multilateral Issues was held in Beijing, where officials from both countries discussed a broad range of topics related to the United Nations, with a particular focus on regional and global peace and security matters on the UN Security Council’s agenda.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides expressed satisfaction over the strong alignment of their views on key issues of mutual concern. They reaffirmed their commitment to working closely together to strengthen multilateral institutions, especially the United Nations.

Pakistan’s delegation was led by Special Secretary (UN) Nabeel Munir, while the Chinese delegation was headed by Shen Bo, Director General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the sidelines of the consultations, Nabeel Munir also held a meeting with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu. During their discussions, both sides highlighted the enduring Pakistan-China strategic partnership and expressed their shared determination to further enhance the historic ties between the two countries.
