The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, Honorable Abdisalan Abdi Ali, has arrived in South Africa to officially inaugurate the new building of the Somali Embassy.

The Minister was welcomed at the airport’s VIP section by the Somali Ambassador to South Africa, Honorable Mohamed Sheikh Isaaq, along with embassy officials, ambassadors from the Arab League, and other dignitaries.

The new Somali Embassy building in South Africa is a historic achievement, realized through the dedicated efforts led by Ambassador Mohamed Sheikh Isaaq in collaboration with the Somali diaspora and the Federal Government.

This marks the first time Somalia has established an official embassy building to serve its citizens in that country.

During his tenure, Ambassador Isaaq has achieved tangible progress that contributes meaningfully to Somalia’s state-building efforts.

In addition, the ambassador has also successfully connected the Somali community living in South Africa with the embassy, and their cooperation has played a major role in supporting the construction of the embassy in South Africa.
