Mogadishu – (Horn Africa News) –The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, led by Minister Mahamud Abdirahman Farah (Beene-Beene), today launched a study examining the vital role of knowledge and skills in advancing investment and national development.

At the launch ceremony in Mogadishu, Minister Farah highlighted the importance of the study in guiding Somalia’s development agenda. He urged international investors and the Somali diaspora to actively engage with the initiative, stressing their role in fostering economic growth and attracting sustainable investment into the country.
The event showcased programs developed by investors operating in countries such as Kenya and Nigeria, alongside contributions from international partners including the European Union. These presentations underscored the global interest in Somalia’s development potential.
Minister Farah praised ongoing efforts to strengthen practical skills and knowledge across sectors. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting capacity-building initiatives and ensuring that the study’s findings translate into meaningful progress for Somalia.
