The President of the Somali Football Federation (SFF) and Vice President of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA), Ali Abdi Mohamed, has held a productive meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino to discuss strengthening cooperation and advancing football development in Somalia.

The meeting focused on expanding collaboration between FIFA and the Somali Football Federation, with discussions covering key areas including support for FIFA development programmes, youth football growth, improvement of football infrastructure and strategies to accelerate the progress of the sport in Somalia.
Ali Abdi Mohamed highlighted the importance of continued international partnerships in helping Somalia develop its football system, increase opportunities for young players and improve facilities across the country.
The Somali football chief and other African football federation leaders also held a joint photo session with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, where they exchanged views on the future of football development in Africa and FIFA’s efforts to create greater opportunities for its member associations.
The engagement reflects ongoing efforts by Somali football authorities to strengthen international partnerships and build a stronger foundation for the growth of football at both grassroots and professional levels.
