Egypt’s Sisi Reaffirms Support for Jordan After Iranian Attacks

CAIRO — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Jordan’s security, stability, and sovereignty during a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II on Wednesday, condemning Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom and other Arab states.

According to the Egyptian presidency, El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s solidarity with Jordan in the face of regional security challenges and reiterated Cairo’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at preserving the kingdom’s stability and territorial integrity.

The Egyptian leader strongly condemned the Iranian attacks, describing them as a threat to regional security and emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty of Arab states and prevent further escalation across the Middle East.

During the call, the two leaders also reviewed regional developments and underscored the importance of coordinated Arab efforts to reduce tensions, safeguard regional stability, and promote diplomatic solutions to ongoing crises.

King Abdullah II expressed appreciation for Egypt’s continued support, reaffirming the close strategic partnership between Amman and Cairo and the importance of maintaining consultation on issues affecting regional peace and security.

The conversation reflects ongoing coordination between Egypt and Jordan as both countries seek to address escalating regional tensions and strengthen cooperation on shared political and security priorities.
