LONDON — Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Arsenal will emerge stronger next season despite their disappointment in the UEFA Champions League final.
“This is not a failure. This has been a great season for Arsenal Football Club,” Henry said.
Although Arsenal fell short in the final, the club can reflect on a campaign marked by significant progress and achievement. Under manager Mikel Arteta, the Gunners once again competed at the highest level of European football and demonstrated that they belong among the continent’s elite teams.
Arsenal showed consistency, resilience and quality throughout the season, overcoming several of Europe’s strongest sides on their journey to the final. While the defeat will be painful for players and supporters, reaching the biggest match in club football remains a major accomplishment.
Henry argued that success should not be measured solely by trophies. According to the former Arsenal captain, the club has built a squad capable of challenging for major honours year after year, and this season has reinforced the belief that silverware will eventually follow if the team continues on its current path.
The former striker expressed confidence that Arsenal’s continued development under Arteta will help the club return stronger and remain among Europe’s leading contenders in the seasons ahead.
