TEHRAN — Iran’s senior military adviser Mohsen Rezaee has warned that Tehran could move toward a “large-scale offensive and destructive phase” if US attacks continue for several more days, escalating fears of a wider regional conflict.
Speaking to Iranian state television, Rezaee, who serves as a military affairs adviser to Iran’s leadership, said that if American strikes continued for “another two or three days,” Iran would enter a new stage involving broader military action.
“If the American attacks continue for two or three more days, Iran will move into the stage of a large-scale attack and destruction,” Rezaee said, according to remarks broadcast by Iranian state media.
The statement has intensified concerns that ongoing military tensions between Iran and the United States could spiral into a broader confrontation involving multiple countries across the Middle East.
Analysts said such statements are often used as part of strategic messaging aimed at influencing public opinion, strengthening domestic morale, and sending warnings to adversaries. However, they cautioned that if such threats are followed by military actions, the situation could rapidly move beyond diplomatic control and trigger a wider regional war.
