Pakistan Defense Minister Calls for United Muslim Military Front Against Israel

0

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has described Israel as “a threat to the entire Muslim world” and called for the formation of “a united military front” to confront what he characterized as a major threat to Muslim countries.

Asif’s remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and growing calls for greater military and strategic coordination among Muslim-majority nations.

The comments were made shortly after Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye announced a major joint defense agreement aimed at strengthening military cooperation and collective security between the three countries.

The development has attracted significant regional attention, particularly as questions grow over whether closer defense partnerships among Muslim-majority states could lead to broader coordination on regional security issues.

Pakistan has traditionally maintained a strong diplomatic position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, while Saudi Arabia and Türkiye have also called for an end to violence and greater international efforts to address the crisis.

As regional tensions continue, Asif’s call for a united military front could further intensify debate over the future of security cooperation among Muslim-majority countries.

More developments are expected as regional governments respond to the latest statements.
