According to the reported arrangement between the Somali and Turkish governments, the military airlift is being conducted through a rotational system: when an aircraft brings a trained Somali unit back from Türkiye, it returns with another Somali unit that is scheduled to undergo training. This arrangement allows the training program to continue while previously trained forces return to Somalia and become operational.
Heavy Equipment and Weapons Arrive in Mogadishu
Reports indicate that heavy military vehicles and various types of weapons intended for the 21st Brigade arrived in Mogadishu the night before the returning troops were received.
