TEL AVIV — Israeli Defence Minister has said that Israel is fully capable of independently conducting military operations against Iran without direct foreign military involvement, expressing confidence in the country’s operational readiness amid rising regional tensions.
The comments are likely to draw attention to the close but complex security relationship between Israel and the United States, which has long been defined by extensive military cooperation, intelligence sharing, and diplomatic support. While Washington remains Israel’s principal strategic ally, the remarks underline Israel’s assertion that its military planning and operational decisions are not dependent on direct U.S. participation in combat operations.
