Tel Aviv — Israeli Channel 14, a broadcaster known for its generally pro-Netanyahu editorial stance, has reportedly adopted a more critical tone toward US President Donald Trump following the announcement of a US–Iran peace framework, according to recent broadcasts and political commentary on the channel.

Commentators on the channel have portrayed the agreement as a potentially dangerous turning point for Israel’s national security, arguing that any easing of pressure on Iran could strengthen Tehran’s regional influence and expand the reach of its allied armed groups across the Middle East.
In several discussions, analysts warned that the proposed “peace deal” could undermine Israel’s long-standing deterrence strategy by giving Iran greater diplomatic and economic space without fully addressing concerns over its missile programme and regional activities. They suggested such developments could gradually shift the regional balance of power in ways unfavorable to Israel.
Some presenters went further, questioning whether the United States under Trump is adequately prioritising Israel’s security concerns in its diplomatic approach. While acknowledging the importance of reducing regional tensions, they argued that any agreement lacking strict verification and enforcement mechanisms could risk long-term instability rather than prevent it.
The debate has exposed growing tension within Israeli media discourse, highlighting divisions between those who view diplomatic engagement with Iran as a step toward de-escalation and others who see it as a strategic gamble that could embolden Tehran and its allies.
Despite earlier positive coverage of Trump’s Middle East initiatives in some Israeli political circles, the latest commentary on Channel 14 reflects increasing unease among some commentators about the implications of the evolving US–Iran diplomatic track.
