TEHRAN – Iran’s delegation has reportedly walked out of ongoing negotiations following protests over recent remarks and social media posts attributed to U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Tasnim News.

The Iranian side said the statements, including posts on Truth Social, violated a clause in the Memorandum of Understanding governing the talks, leading to a sharp escalation in diplomatic tensions at a critical stage of negotiations.
Iranian officials argued that the comments undermined agreed commitments under the MoU framework and created an “unacceptable atmosphere” for continued dialogue.
Following the walkout, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a strongly worded response, rejecting what he described as U.S. threats.
“Do they not realize that if their threats had been effective, they would not have reached today’s state of desperation? We do not take the Americans’ threats seriously,” he said.
He added that Iran’s armed forces remained on alert.
“They would do better to be careful about their statements. Our armed forces are prepared to respond in a different manner. The more they talk, the more it is we who act,” he said.
The development marks a fresh setback for diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions between Tehran and Washington, with negotiations now appearing increasingly fragile amid renewed political and military rhetoric from both sides.
